The O-fice service allows you to analyse, quantify and efficiently manage your office work environment.
Do you know the answers to these questions?
Do you lack analytical data about the current use of your office space?
How often is a specific chair being used?
How many people are using your constantly busy meeting rooms?
We will help you analyse the data and utilise your workspace to its maximum efficiency. Focus on the activities that support your company’s real purpose.
The O-fice service promotes corporate culture and improves the efficiency and satisfaction of you, the end users.
“O-fice provides important data. A combination of accurate sensors, powerful peripherals, smart applications, a server solution and a web application provides answers to questions regarding the use of your working space. Is this meeting room currently being used? How often is it full and how does its use fluctuate during various periods of the year or specific days? Is the chair assigned to this workplace used every day and how often?”
The O-fice solution uses sensors with bluetooth technology to monitor the movement of objects within an office. Using tablets running a special application, the data is uploaded to a server and evaluated. After logging in to a comprehensive web application, managers can easily determine whether their office space is doing well or whether it could use more activity.
See the availability of a meeting room during the last week – but many more details are available as well. It is very easy to add a new client, upload a floor plan of your office, link objects to sensors and you can start measuring. Everything is fast and intuitive.
Myth #1: In long-term research, respondents report that their office space is utilised from 82–98%.
Fact #1: Dozens of measurements in various industries show that the actual number is in the range of 19–37% (the vacancy figures for a standard workstation are around 60%).
Myth #2: Our utilisation of office space is specific and the results of general research don’t apply here.
Fact #2: There are ten basic modes of work (see for example at www.hermanmiller.com/solutions/living–office.html or at www.knoll.com/design-plan/planning/revolution-workplace, etc.), which account for 98% of the working activities in an office. Thanks to the data from the O-fice service, you can check the facts in your office for yourself.
Myth #3: Our office space is prepared for expansion and a reduction of its size is not technically possible.
Fact #3: Reducing the total area by 15% achieves up to 25% cost savings, because you buy less furniture, need less light… Let’s do the math.
Data from the O-fice service has many uses. It enables efficient monitoring of the real use of individual objects in the Living Office concept, but also provides valuable information to companies
that wish to relocate or redesign and refurbish their old offices.
Deploying sensors and collecting data in the current layout helps us propose a more efficient and more creative concept for a new office. Thanks to “hard” data, the new offices can be much more efficient, smaller and therefore also less expensive to operate.
